Søndervig Beach
Søndervig Beach in West Jutland is one of Denmark's best beach and a true favourite among Danes. A popular seaside resort for the last century, Søndervig is a dynamic beach backed by rolling sand dunes on the North Sea.
Blåvand Beach
The 40km-long Blåvand Beach, near Hvide Sande in West Jutland, gives you the chance to escape from the hustle and bustle of life and to surround yourself in bracing nature. It's also one of the best places in Denmark to look for amber!
Blokhus Beach
Blokhus Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Northern Europe. The fine, white sand and high, wind-protected dunes make this beach an absolute highlight. In addition, you can drive from Rødhus in the south to Løkken in the north along the beach by car.
Saltum Beach
The wide, child-friendly sandy beach of Saltum, where the Blue Flag blows, joins the beach at Blokhus. The locals even speak of the 'Alps' - that may sound exaggerated to foreigners, but measured by Danish standards, the 100 metres high dunes are like mountains.
Rømø Beach
The sandy island of Rømø, on Denmark's West Coast, has some of the largest beaches in Europe. You can drive all the way down to the water and even camp here. Head to Rømø for wide open stretches of sand, perfect for beach buggies and picnics!
Henne Beach
Henne Beach was named one of the best places to visit in Europe by CNN in 2019, and it's not difficult to understand why: Long, white sandy beach, sheltered dunes and unique sunsets. Throw in ample hiking and wildlife trails and the two Michelin-starred restaurant, Henne Kirkeby Kro, and you have a fantastic holiday destination.
Marielyst Beach
Stretch out on Denmark's best beach three years in a row! Marielyst Beach on the island of Falster in South Zealand is a laid-back, child-friendly beach with calm waters and several sandbanks to explore.
Hestehoved Beach
Hestehoved Beach, on the island of Lolland, has beautiful clean waters and one of the longest bathing jetties in Denmark. Head to the beach right next to the recreational area along Nakskov Fjord and close to the market town of Nakskov.
Bisnap Beach
Bisnap beach is between Hou and Hals. The beach is child friendly, clean and quiet. There is a handicapped accessible path down to the beach. Here you can find great shells or even amber with a little luck.
Saksild Strand
Saksild Strand is one of the most child-friendly beaches in Denmark, with clean and clear bathing water, soft white sand and plenty of space to run and play. Nearby you'll find toilets, a lifeguard tower, ice-cream kiosks, restaurants and a campsite and cottages.
Kerteminde North Beach
Kerteminde's North Beach on Funen Island is popular with families and young people. There's always life and a fun atmosphere here throughout the summer months. Only a few hours' drive from Copenhagen and close by Odense.
Hornbæk Beach
Hornbæk Beach is the largest and most famous beach on The Danish Riviera on North Zealand. The beach has lifeguards during summer and buzzes with holidaymakers. This area is just an hour's drive from Copenhagen.
Gudmindrup Beach
You'll find one of the best beaches in Denmark at Sejerø Bay in West Zealand, only a couple of hours from Copenhagen. This broad sandy beach with dunes is a great place to try windsurfing and kite surfing.
Tisvildeleje Beach
